The St. George Business Alliance asked Carolwood Productions to create the opening presentation for a community discussion of the local commercial fishing and lobstering industry. The primary purpose of the video was not only to “set the table” for the panel discussion that followed, but to also generate areas of interest and further inquiry for residents and industry.

Filming on location for Tenants Harbor Boatyard

Inevitably, it seems as though each new project adds to our “behind the scenes” knowledge of so many aspects of our business community. In this particular case, we absolutely loved getting to know our client, Tenants Harbor Boatyard and gaining a better understanding of their great operation.

We personally had never visited this business that was located so close to ‘home’ on the St. George peninsula, and so we were especially eager to tour the facilities. We were amazed at the excellent operation, the full-service docking and fueling capabilities, and the absolutely HUGE boathouse located on the property.

A specific aspect of the property that the client wanted to portray was the excellent setting, and nearby amenities available, so we made sure our shot list included plenty of visuals to help get this across to the viewer.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with the folks at the boatyard, and were pleased to assist with their marketing campaign.

Gorgeous Property Location seeks High-Flying Partner…

The potential match listed above would be a match, er, pardon the expression, made in heaven!

Many times, a superbly situated property goes on the market and it’s lovely views and location may go unappreciated simply because the potential buyer is unable to fully appreciate it’s setting. This could be due to natural features such as trees, terrain, or simply because of inaccessibility because of privacy concerns.

A well-excecuted aerial promotional piece may very well come to the rescue, highlighting with aplomb, the property’s desirable features which otherwise may go unnoticed and under-appreciated. Getting up there for a birds-eye view will give the viewer the scope necessary to fully grasp the full value of the property’s situation, and desirability.

Retail Business Promotional: Blue Tulip

We had the pleasure recently of producing a retail promotional for a great business located on the St. George Peninsula. This project enabled us to utilize an array of content; from video, to product photos, and from aerial imagery to customer-supplied graphic material which was then animated.

The script was written and locked, and the voice over recorded to get a sense of cadence and pacing. After that, the video content was shot over the course of a few days at a number of locations, including the retail site, Port Clyde, Tenants Harbor, and Rockland.

Some of the still photography utilized product shots from a prior session for a brochure print project that Carolwood Productions assisted with.

Finally, all the content was edited into the timeline for the 1 min, 10 sec spot; and all the C.G. and animation applied to the graphics. As a last step, the music bed was custom created for the piece.

Videography + Photography

We are always somewhat surprised at the number of people who are unaware that we offer two major client services; Videography and Photography.

My guess is that these folks were introduced to us as referrals (thank you!) from a previous client who engaged us to produce an advertising piece for them which may have only included one or the other element, and they were simply unaware of the breadth of content creation services that Carolwood Productions offers. It seems as though it runs at roughly a 60/40% ratio, with most people being aware of our video services, but not the still photographic side.

Of course, for many of our projects, we deploy both sides of our expertise, filming video as well as capturing still images. Both elements are frequently utilized inside of the larger project; such as a marketing campaign piece, or a retail outlet highlight.

However, a large part of our clients engage us to specifically create beautiful photographic projects for them. Be it Real Estate, Product Placement, or Venue and Estate coverage; we are always excited to fill our clients still photography needs.
